Overview

MapAI Pty Ltd, ABN 33 675 900 839 (“MapAI”, “we”, “us”), operates this marketing website. This policy covers website visitors, trial requests, Source interest, Contact us enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and authorised content editors.

Customer sign-up and sign-in take you to app.mapai.net. This website does not create customer accounts or collect customer passwords or payment-card details. Before entering information in the app, review the privacy information and service terms presented there; app account, billing and uploaded-data practices are not described by this website policy.

What we collect

Trial requests: your name, work email, organisation, question and agreement to the Terms, plus any role, referral information and team details you provide. Team details may include a business unit, use case, data-source descriptions, expected user numbers and an optional IT contact. Only provide another person's details if you are authorised to do so.

Source interest: your name and work email, plus any organisation, GIS product and short request you provide. Contact us: your name, work email, enquiry topic and message, plus any organisation you provide. Do not include passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information or confidential datasets in these forms.

Newsletter: your email address, subscription status, the consent wording and placement, confirmation and unsubscribe tokens, and relevant timestamps. Newsletter consent is separate from an enquiry; optional newsletter checkboxes are unticked by default and a confirmation step is required before the subscription is confirmed.

Forms can record the page you submitted from and campaign identifiers (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign). We use these to understand where enquiries and subscriptions originated.

Editor accounts: if you are invited to manage content on this site, we store your email address and basic account details to authenticate you.

Usage data: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and operational purposes.

Cookies and browser storage

Browser storage keeps authorised editors signed in, remembers a dismissed notice and retains campaign identifiers during your visit. Public customer sign-up and sign-in do not use this website's editor session.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on this website.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. We don't sell or share this data.

Our configured analytics provider is Plausible, a cookieless analytics service. Page views and selected button/form events are processed by Plausible on our behalf, not shared for another organisation's advertising or marketing. We exclude email addresses and free-text form answers, and disable analytics when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Editor and newsletter token pages are excluded from page-view tracking.

How we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond, assess trial or partnership requirements and manage our correspondence. We use newsletter information to record consent, send confirmation messages and, for confirmed subscribers, provide The Radar. An enquiry alone does not give consent to newsletter marketing. Unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter email or contact info@mapai.net.

We use technical information for operation, abuse prevention and security. Newsletter request limits use a hashed IP-derived identifier, not a raw IP address, and expire from the limiter's records after a day when subsequent requests trigger cleanup.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Website enquiries, newsletter records and editorial content are stored in Lovable Cloud. Access to enquiry and subscriber records is restricted to authorised administrators; confirmation and unsubscribe changes are made through server-controlled operations.

When configured, Resend processes enquiry notifications and confirmation emails, Clarify processes contact/company records and related enquiry notes for customer relationship management, and an optional Slack integration receives enquiry summaries for our team. Saving an enquiry does not depend on these integrations succeeding. Their availability does not imply that every enquiry has been emailed or synced.

Hosting, analytics and communication providers may process information outside Australia. This website does not promise that all marketing-site information remains in Australia. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights and security.

Links to external sites, including app.mapai.net, LinkedIn and research partners, take you to services with their own privacy information. Clicking an account link does not transfer your form answers to the app through that link.

Data retention

Enquiry and subscription records remain stored until they are reviewed and deleted by authorised administrators; this website has no automatic expiry for those records. We retain information only where needed for correspondence, consent evidence, security or legal obligations. Unsubscribing stops newsletter consent but does not automatically erase the consent history. Contact us to request deletion; legal requirements and backup retention may affect what can be removed immediately.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of your information, withdraw newsletter consent, or raise a privacy complaint. Additional rights can apply depending on your location and the laws applicable to our processing; we do not require you to waive those rights.

Email info@mapai.net with your request. We may need to verify your identity and explain any lawful limitation. If a complaint is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the relevant privacy regulator where applicable.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, and material changes will be noted on the site.
